Elon musk was born in the South-Africa. He was only 10 when he developed a keen interest in computers. So, he learns to program himself. At the age of 12, he developed a video game called Blastar and sold it to a computer magazine.

He was 10 when his parents separated. After their separation, musk and his younger siblings, brother Kimbal and sister Tosca primarily live with their father. Musk has done his schooling in south-Africa. He meets a lot of adversities in growing up because of the Afrikaner culture he encountered in school.

Therefore, the only escape he found from those lonely and brutal years was his books and technology.

After completing his graduation from South Africa, Musk moved to Canada to avoid serving the South African military, whose prime function was to impose apartheid.

His mother, Maye Musk, was a Canadian citizen. Thereby, Getting Canadian citizenship for him was as easy as pie.

In Canada, he joined Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, After studying for two years at Queen’s University. Because of his passion for physics, he pursued a double major in physics and business at Wharton school.

Subsequently, he went to California to pursue a Ph.D. in applied physics at Stanford University. However, he left his Ph.D. right after two days of joining in order to pursue his entrepreneurial visions. Although physics was his passion, he thinks that the internet has more potential to bring change in society than physics.

In 1995, Elon started Zip2, a software company that offers maps and business directories to online newspapers. In 1999, Compaq AltaVista web search engine acquired Zip2 for $340 million. Musk makes use of Zip2 buyout money for creating X.com. Later X.com becomes Paypal. In 2002 eBay bought Paypal for $1.5 billion. Prior to the purchase, Musk owned 11% of PayPal stock.

Musk believes that for life to survive, Humans have to become multiplanet species. However, he was not happy with the high cost of rocket launchers. Therefore, he created a space transport company called SpaceX. It made significant advancements in getting things into space.

The primary two rockets manufactured by SpaceX were named Falcon 1 and Falcon 9. However, they have been fashioned to cost less than competing rockets. A third rocket, Falcon Heavy, was fashioned to carry 117,000 pounds to orbit.

SpaceX also developed a spacecraft named Dragon, which transport supplies to the international space station. Plus, it can bear as many as seven astronauts.

Furthermore, Elon exploits his physics and business knowledge to run the company. However, along with managing the cooperate matters of the company, he was also a chief engineer for many of the company’s main projects.

Musk’s interest in clean energy and the possibility of electric cars make him the co-founder, CEO, and product architect at Tesla Motors, founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning.

In 2006, Tesla launched its first car, the Roadster, which is capable of traveling 245 miles in a single charge.

Under the supervision of musk, Tesla becomes the most famous and desirable car brand. In addition to generating electric vehicles, Tesla conserves the powerful presence of solar energy space because it purchased the solar city.

Tesla and solar city are combined and create completely integrated commercial, residential, and grid-scale that advance the way energy is produced, stored, and consumed.

In 2017, musk started The Boring Company for boring and building tunnels in order to overcome the street traffic. The company builds low-priced transportation tunnels, with the aim to make transportation faster and secured by forming a network of tunnels that ease traffic and overcrowding.

Elon musk’s goal is to work in the field that he has recognized as crucial to our future, respectively the Internet, space colonization, and the transition to renewable energy sources.
